Solid Agency (booking agent for Tessanne Chin) has dismissed claims that the season five winner of US talent competition, The Voice, has parted company with Orville ‘Shaggy’ Burrell’s record label, Ranch Entertainment.
A representative from Solid Agency explained that the claims were false, stating that Chin was only making a natural progression in her music career.
The source said that as part of her win, Chin sealed a deal with Universal Music Group, and it was only natural that she does work for them which includes writing, recording, and releasing songs on the international label. The singer would still be doing work with Ranch Entertainment, however.
Shaggy launched his Ranch Record Label last year after severing ties with long-time manager Robert Livingston.
Chin revealed that it was her long-time friend, Shaggy, who encouraged her to audition for The Voice, and he was a constant friend throughout the entire singing competition.
