Digicel Mash costumes

Digicel Guyana has unveiled its 2014 Mashramani costumes under the theme, “Arabian Night”.

For the fifth consecutive year, it was left to well-known Guyanese designer Olympia Small-Sonaram to create just the right costumes to captivate and stimulate the minds and eyes of the public.

A fusion of pink and gold definitely did the job for the masterpieces that will outfit close to 300 revellers on Mash Day. The costumes cater for all sizes, from small to extra large.
The breathtaking pieces were excellently displayed by members of the Classique Dance Company and the La Face Model Agency as they partied to the soca vibes of Digicel’s music ambassadors, Jonathan “Lil Red” King and Kwesi “Ace” Edmondson.

The float to accompany the costumes is extravagant, since it will comprise all of the elements of the Arabian Nights tales, including the genie, the magical carpet, “gold” and “diamonds”. Sanchara added that the float is near completion, but the final touches will be done close to Mash Day.

Those who would like to win a costume for the Mash tramp can text the word “COSTUME” to 1557. Once that text is sent, subscribers will be given instructions which they will have to follow in order to win one of the elaborate costumes.
