Jah Cure happy with ‘Wake Up’

Jah Cure is pleased with the reaction to his latest single, ‘Wake Up’ since he released a video two weeks ago.

“The video is doing very well on various social media platforms, hitting 13,000 views in the first day, it is now at 60,000-plus views on youtube, and disc jockeys all over the world, from Africa to Dubai to Europe, are now playing the song,” he said.

Recently, the singer delivered a string of impressive performances at Rebel Salute and the charity show Shaggy and Friends, leaving audiences completely spellbound each time he sang into the microphone. He was particularly great at Rebel Salute where he drew screams of approval and gun finger salutes from the audience each time he belted out hits such as Unconditional Love and Love Is.

Since teaming up with Robert Livingston, the singer has seen his stocks rise internationally. There are plans to venture into markets that are already familiar with the artiste, such as Australia, South East Asia, South America, with a particular emphasis on Europe.

Last year, he completed the World Cry album, which was released digitally worldwide, peaking at the No. 2 spot on the reggae iTunes chart in two countries, and charting in the top five in several others. Recently, Unconditional Love, featuring Phyllisia, passed the impressive threshold of seven million hits on YouTube.
