El Dorado has expanded its sponsorship of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League and has become the official partner to the local franchise team the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
This partnership and sponsorship of the Limacol CPL will enable fans of the hugely successful cricket tournament to enjoy the liquid gold of Guyana, alongside scintillating T20 cricket.
El Dorado was among the first partners when the CPL was launched in 2013 to sell-out crowds, with over 250,000 spectators attending matches across Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. Global stars, including Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Ricky Ponting and Muttiah Muralitharan took part in the tournament, dubbed the ‘Biggest Party in Sport’.
With just a few days before the start of CPL 2014, anticipation is high and at a recent signing ceremony held at the DDL offices which was attended by Guyana Amazon Warriors players, Steven Jacobs and Veerasammy Permaul, Mrs Sharda Veeren-Chand, DDL’s Marketing Director, noted that El Dorado is already a major partner of the Limacol CPL and “it is only fitting that we being a part of this global event, we celebrate this occasion with the World’s Best Rum, El Dorado.”
She added, “Our brand is an embodiment of the spirit of Guyana- competitiveness, fun, hard work and enjoyment and off course being the best. We believe this is also the essence of the Guyana Amazon Warriors Team making this partnership a natural one.”
Guyana Amazon Warriors Marketing Manager, Trevor Bassoo thanked DDL for its continued support and said he is looking forward to a rewarding and successful tournament.
