The Jamzone committee Congratulates Miss Kerrie Baylis

From the first moment she walked on stage, Kerrie Baylis had the audience on
her side. Her smile was infectious. She oozed charm, calmness and confidence.

Persons who attended the 3rd Miss Jamzone International pageant will remember
many things, but we are certain that one of them will definitely be Baylis’ riveting
Cultural presentation. Kerrie Baylis sold Jamaica like a pro. At the beginning of her
presentation she animatedly told the crowd, “I’m the Jamaican Dancehall Queen”,
as she entered on stage dancing to the popular Beenie Man and Chevelle Franklin
hit. You can rest assured that she definitely lived up to that title. The crowd
went wild as Kerrie danced to Konshen’s ‘Bubble Gyal’, Elephant Man’s ‘Nuh
Linga’, ‘Three Little Birds by Bob Marley’ and a slew of other Jamaican songs. She
was absolutely brilliant in every segment.

Many times it seemed as if the crowd was having issues deciding whether they should root for Guyana’s Ayana Harris or the captivating Jamaican stranger.

The Miss Jamzone committee is proud to have Miss Kerrie Baylis of Jamaica as
our third Miss Jamzone International Queen. Congratulations also to first runner-
up, Louise Victor of St Lucia, Trevicia Adams of St Kitts and Nevis, Ayana Harris
of Guyana and Renee Bhagwandeen who walked away with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
runners up titles respectively.

Kerrie Baylis is a 23 year old Insurance Underwriter who holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Law from the University of Surrey. In addition to the USD$10,000 and
a kindle fire Ereader, Kerrie won the Best Gown, Body Beautiful and Best Cultural
presentation titles. Ayana Harris of Guyana was crowned Miss Congeniality.
