Paul Anthony Charles lives by the saying ‘love the life you live and live the life you love.’

This young man was born on April 20, 1986 under the zodiac sign of Taurus. He is a teacher, dancer, choreographer, and stylist; describing himself as determined and ambitious. He attended Carmel and Charlestown Secondary schools, furthering his studies after high school at Global Technology.

This determined young individual dreams one day of establishing his own foundation to help youths. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, having long walks, cooking, camping and of course dancing. An additional dream of Charles is to become an international dance choreographer.

Charles finds himself in a happy relationship with one aspect of the arts – he is a unique, energetic, and passionate individual who is heading for higher heights. Being no stranger to the performing arts, he has represented Guyana locally, regionally and international.

He was the face of the logo for Carifesta X in 2008; he was privileged to showcase his skills in dance in countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Suriname, French Guiana and The United States of America. Charles is known as the Dare of Dance.

Venturing into the world of fashion in 2005, he participated in the Super Model Search, and in 2006 he participated in the Shabeau Face off where he placed 1st runner-up. In 2008 he participated in Guyana Model Search and placed 3rd runner-up; an experience that didn’t deter his drive. In 2012 he tried it once more and captured the 2nd runner-up spot.

The talented young man also participated internationally at Mr Tourism United Nations Pageant in Jamaica and captured the 1st runner-up position. He was awarded a prize for the Best Male Dancer.

Paul is now a contestant in the first ever Mr Guyana International Pageant 2014. His platform for this competition is ‘Causes and Effects of School dropouts’.

He believes that every child needs an education and education is the key, adding that success. He noted that in Guyana, the youths who drop out of school are most likely to be unemployed, homeless and incarcerated.

Charles is inspired by his mother’s teaching which is based on striving for excellence and higher heights through hard work and perseverance.
