Digicel has for many years been involved in several community activities in the Kingston. This year was no different, on the heels of the recently concluded Back to School Dental Outreach; Digicel paid a visit to the students and teachers of the Kingston Secondary School. They were more than welcome as the students were all in good spirits to see Digicel visiting their school which is a stone’s throw away from the Digicel Head Office in Kingston.
“We decided to pay a visit to this school today since they are part of the same community we are a part of. We have been giving back to the community especially around Christmas and the back to school period, where we would go door to door and give back to school items to the children in the area” said Mrs. Louanna Abrams. This year however, Digicel visited the Secondary School where they provided each student, new and continuing with snacks, water bottles and lunch packs.
The Headmistress Ms. Rowena Seymour, expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to Digicel for taking time to come to share with the students. Ms. Abrams in an invited comment mentioned that this is not the only school that will benefit from its Back to School initiative as they have several back to school distributions planned.
