STAG ‘Stage 4’ this weekend

Despite the absence of the usual costume and float parade on February 23, ANSA McAL is moving full steam ahead in providing the usual Soca bacchanal for Guyanese and more so, the much-anticipated jouvert-style party on the eve of Guyana’s Republic Anniversary celebrations.

Stage 4 is set and ready to explode Saturday evening through Monday evening when the event will culminate with a massive paint, colour and water party at the Parade Ground, Middle Street, Georgetown. On Saturday evening, fans can expect the best from the best when it comes to stand-up comedy.

The first night will feature Paul “Chow Pow” Jardin; Lyndon “Jumbie” Jones and others. Also performing live on the same stage on Saturday evening will be Kwasi “Ace” Edmondson, Shelly G and Jackie Jaxx among others.

On Sunday evening, the steam picks up with live performances by Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca queen, Destra and her entire band along with Lyrical Fyah and Farmer Nappy. A hyped Destra, who recently participated in the Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad, is sure to create the buzz as usual during her performance.

Destra will definitely set the pace for the final evening. On Monday, as expected, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons with their band will perform. Also adding some mad vibes on the stage will be Jigga TC. Be prepared for the wildest three days of fun and frolic.

The event is absolutely free and will commence at 20:00h each night. Be sure not to miss this Stage 4, sponsored under the Stag Beer Brand of ANSA McAL.
