Ryno records track for fallen brother

Still grappling with the death of his brother Kurtis Buckner, singer Black Ryno has put pen to paper and has recorded a tribute in his honour.

Black Ryno said that the tribute titled Miss a Friend was produced by Seanizzle and that almost everyone can relate to the words in the song.

“Is a song where everybody can relate to. Anybody whe deal with the loss of a loved one can relate to dis song so is a tribute to him,” Ryno continued.

Black Ryno said that Bucknor, who was killed just metres away from him in the Waltham Park area, was not his blood brother.

“Is just like how Kartel say ‘we nuh say fren we say family’, a so me and him live. Him a nuh mi blood brother but mi know him fi years and we grow together so him a like me family. Him a like mi real brother,” Ryno said.

A week ago, Black Ryno and a group left a dance in the Maxfield area and stopped in Waltham Park to talk with friends.

Two unknown assailants approached Bucknor and opened fire. He died en route to the hospital.

Rumours had been circulating that Bucknor was killed in a case of mistaken identity.

It was only two years ago that Ryno lost another brother to similar circumstances.
