Magnum Tonic Wine has started its 2019 Mash Cup preparations. The competition, which is set to coincide with the country’s Mashramani celebrations, will see 32 inter-ward community based football teams square off at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, Georgetown. Now in its second year, teams will compete for a top prize of $600,000 GYD, with second and third place walking away with $350,000 and $200,000 respectively.
Set to kick off on Saturday February 2ndand run through to March 2nd, the round of 16 begins on February 16 continuing to the semi-final on February 24 before a massive finale event.
“Magnum is known for doing things in a major way and Mash Cup is one of those things, last year we had an amazing time, the teams were excellent and played very well. This year we have decided to up the ante even more, adding our Magnum girls to every match, bucket deals and the chance to win tickets to our mega Stage show, Magnum Xplosion,” said Edison Jefford, Brand Manager, Magnum Tonic Wine Guyana.
“32 inter-ward community based teams will go up against each other but only one winner can be crowned. That is unbeatable excitement and entertainment, as only Magnum can provide. The Mash Cup competition series kicks off the Magnum Tonic Wine calendar of events in Guyana which will also feature; Magnum Tek Charge Thursdays, Road Shows, Magnum Girls Bar Blitz and Magnum Xplosion, the Caribbean’s premier stage show event.
