Jonathon “Lil Red” King said he is ready for the ninth Carib Soca Monarch Competition, and promises fans a whole new and exciting energy, much different from his performance last year.
“Lil Red” said he is confident that he will leave an unforgettable performance. The young artiste attributed his success so far to his mother, soca queen “Big Red”, noting that she has always been a major driving force behind his musical career. Last year’s competition was dubbed “one of the best of all time”, and the promoters are promising that this year’s competition will be even better, because of the multi-talented, vibrant artistes that “we have in our midst”.
The winner of the Carib Soca Monarch Competition will walk away with $1.5 million, while the second and third placed winners will pocket $500,000 and 250,000 respectively.
